Make network information useful to as many people as possible, without demanding accountability and without turning a simple consultation into a means of follow-up.
How the site works
The application reads the address of the server-side connection, behind a trusted reverse proxy. Custom results are not publicly cached, and the IP address is not entered into the URL or retained by the application to create a visitor history.
Quality of information
The results are presented with their limitations: an IP geolocation remains approximate and a connection only reveals the IP version used at the time of the request. Unavailable information is not made up.
Independence and confidentiality
The current version does not contain ads, fingerprinting, or session capture. Google Analytics provides optional audience measurement only after consent. The enriched network data comes from the IPWho.is service, which is called by our server only for public addresses.
Transparency
The methodology, privacy policy, cookie rules and legal contact details are published in the dedicated pages of the website and updated as the service evolves.
