Data processed
The server necessarily processes the source address in order to respond to the request. The app does not log or persist it to create an anonymous visitor history.
Robot Protection
Temporary technical counters only detect abnormal rhythm or overt automation software. The IP address is replaced in memory with a non-reversible HMAC fingerprint and the counters automatically expire. In the event of an anomaly, a simple bill is requested. After success, a strictly necessary HttpOnly cookie authorizes the connection for one hour. No third-party ad fingerprinting or CAPTCHAs are used.
Authorized search engines
Google, Bing, Applebot, and Yandex are exempted after a reverse and then direct DNS check in accordance with the methods published by these engines. DuckDuckGo is verified with its official list of addresses, which is updated automatically. A simple bot name in the user agent is not enough.
Approximate location
For public addresses, the IP is transmitted by our server to the IPWho.is service (ipwho.is) in order to obtain the country, region, approximate city, time zone and operator. Private or reserved addresses are never sent. A 24-hour internal cache uses only an HMAC key, never the raw IP.
Optional audience measurement
Google Analytics, identifier G-NRR54PS4R3, is loaded only after acceptance. Google then receives the information necessary for the request, as well as browsing, browser, device and approximate geographical area data. The IP address displayed by the tool is never added to an Analytics event, URL, or metadata. Advertising and Google Signals are disabled.
Refusal and withdrawal
Opting out leaves the Google tag disabled. The choice is stored locally in the browser. The "Manage cookies" button allows you to withdraw consent later and delete Analytics cookies from the domain.
Cache and URL
The IP response is not publicly cached, and the address is never placed in a public URL or metadata.
