Detection
The connection address is read on the server side from the source transmitted by our trusted reverse proxy. A value sent by a form or URL is never used to determine "my IP".
Caching
The custom response is marked private and no-store on all caches. The address does not appear in static HTML or metadata.
Enrichment
ISP, ASN, and geographic data are only displayed when a reliable provider responds. Absent information is never invented.
Limitations
A query only shows the IPv4 or IPv6 used for that connection. The network geolocation remains approximate.
